AN EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE FRITZ HECKERT ‘CHANGEANT’ VASE OF IMMENSE PROPORTION BY OTTO THAMM. LONG THOUGHT TO BE A KRALIK SILBERBAND VASE, THE RECENTLY DISCOVERED HECKERT FACTORY BOOKS REVEALED ITS TRUE ORIGIN. VASE HAS DEEP SILVERY BLUE IRIDESCENCE WITH OIL SPOTS FROM THE TOP TRAILING INTO LONG STRIATIONS TOWARD THE BOTTOM, AND THE WHOLE IS ENCIRCLED BY PULLED BANDS. OF TYPICAL HECKERT FORM WITH DISTINCTIVE BASE.
