Metal Lathe Tool Height Setter--Truly Hands-Free Version--Bit Center Finder

Description

Tool for setting the center height on your lathe bit.
Made from durable acrylic plastic (bright color so it is easy to find if you accidentally drop it). The bubble level is bonded in place so that is does not fall out when dropped (this change was made based on customer feedback--thanks!!).
Works with all types of lathe tools--turning, facing, cutoff, boring, threading, inside and outside.
Also works for "backside turning" (simply turn the device upside-down).
Fits 1/8" diameter to 2 1/2" diameter workpiece (see photo for how to re-position the rubber band to hold the device and maintain hands-free work).
This version is much easier to use than others because it is hands-free. Just wrap the rubber band around the round stock and you are ready to set up multiple tools with ease!
I use the rubber band to provide a downward force on the bottom edge of the tool height setter so that my cutters can be adjusted upward into position. This makes the tool height setter a dream to use.

Item is shipped with paper backing on one side--this is to prevent scratching during shipment--the backing can be easily removed by peeling it off.
