Description
This is an exquisite Blue Willow Decorative Egg. It resembles the blue eggs made by John F. French of Arklow Pottery (1934-1969) in Ireland, but the bottom is covered with felt so I can’t confirm it’s an Arklow. The classic Blue Willow pattern presents with three scenes on a white background, and the egg is heavy (2.8 pounds!). In mint condition with no cracks, chips, repairs, or crazing, it’s about the size of an ostrich egg—and it’s beautiful! Great conversation piece for the artful collector.Measurements are approximate:
3-1/2” tall
5” long
4” wide
